Blake Lively Is ‘A Beautiful Ghost’ in New Trailer for Paul Feig’s ‘A Simple Favor’ (Video)

Thriller also stars Anna Kendrick, Henry Golding and Linda Cardellini

A new trailer was released for Blake Lively’s “A Simple Favor,” in which Anna Kendrick makes the mistake of looking into her best friend’s life.

The film, directed by Paul Feig, looks into the mysterious disappearance of Emily Nelson (Lively). Kendrick, who plays Emily’s best friend, goes on a hunt to find her, uncovering details about the girl she thought she knew.

“She’s like a beautiful ghost,” Henry Golding’s character says in the trailer.

“I’ve never seen such a beautiful girl want to be so invisible,” Linda Cardellini’s character adds.

In May, Lively cleared all of her Instagram posts and unfollowed everyone, including her husband Ryan Reynolds. She also started following only women with the name Emily Nelson, in order to promote the film. Since then, she’s re-followed her husband and now only follows one Emily Nelson.

“A Simple Favor” will hit theaters on September 14. Lively will next star in Reed Morano’s female spy thriller “The Rhythm Section,” which will hit theaters next year. Kendrick was next supposed to star in Disney’s “Noelle,” but the completed film was yanked from the studio’s schedule.
