Blake Lively Trains With Jude Law in ‘The Rhythm Section’ Latest Trailer (Video)

Reed Morano’s spy thriller opens in theaters on Jan. 31

There’s hopes that “The Rhythm Section” can kick off a franchise if it gets off on the right note.

In the latest trailer for the spy thriller released Tuesday morning, we see Jude Law training Blake Lively for everything that’s in store for her character.

Her mentor, Iain Boyd (Law) also explains the movie’s title in the newest look at Reed Morano’s spy thriller, telling Stephanie Prick (Lively) that you have to get your rhythm section right in order to be able to shoot straight and pull the trigger when you need to.

In one scene, Law asks Lively to shoot him in the chest while he’s wearing a bulletproof vest. Doing that, he says, is the “easy part.”

“What’s the hard part?” she asks. “Living with it,” he replies.

“The Rhythm Section” is produced by James Bond producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli based on Mark Burnell’s novel and his own screenplay. It’s the story of Stephanie Patrick (Lively), who loses her family in an orchestrated plane crash and now seeks revenge on the people responsible as she descends in a self-destructive spiral.

Sterling K. Brown and Raza Jaffrey also star in the action movie that opens from Paramount Pictures on Jan. 31.
