‘Bones’ Creator Hart Hanson Developing Drama Based on ‘Good Thief’s Guide’ for ABC

Andrew Miller will also executive produced the project based on Chris Ewan’s books

“Bones” creator Hart Hanson and Andrew Miller are developing a drama series based on the “Good Thief’s Guide” book series, an ABC representative told TheWrap.

The books by British author Chris Ewan follows Charlie Howard, a novelist, who travels the globe writing about an intrepid burglar named Faulks. To supplement his income, Charlie runs a small side business: stealing for a very discreet clientele on commission.

Like the books, the series will focus on a new city each season which starts with the perfect job that falls apart.

The series will be produced by 2oth Century Fox Television where Hanson has an overall deal. Hanson also has a pilot in contention at CBS called “Backstrom.” “Bones” is currently in its ninth season at Fox.
