Fox’s “Bones” didn’t quite unearth massive Nielsen numbers with Tuesday’s series finale, but the show grew 25 percent from last week’s penultimate episode.

As a result, Fox topped NBC’s double-helping of “Trial & Error” during the 9 o’clock hour, on average.

That didn’t stop NBC from winning the night in the key 18-49 demographic — though CBS scored a “W” among total viewers.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 6.8 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.1/8 and 10 million viewers. At 9, the network’s first “Trial & Error” episode had a 1.0/4 and 4.6 million viewers. A second episode at 9:30 slipped to a 0.8/3 and 3.4 million viewers. “Chicago Fire” at 10 got a 1.4/5 and 6.6 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 1.3/5 and first in viewers with 11.4 million. “NCIS” at 8 scored a 1.6/6 and 14 million viewers. At 9, “Bull” put up a 1.3/5 and 10.8 million viewers. “NCIS: New Orleans” at 10 received a 1.1/4 and 9.2 million viewers.

Fox was third in ratings with a 0.9/4 and in viewers with 3.2 million. “New Girl” at 8 had a 0.9/4 and 2.2 million viewers. “The Mick” at 8:30 got a 0.9/3 and 2.4 million viewers. At 9, “Bones” landed a 1.0/4 and 4.2 million viewers.
