Boy George is defending himself after being accused of being biphobic following a series of tweets.

“Bi-phobic? Yeah, of course. Suck my bigot toe!” the singer tweeted in response to various tweets dated Jan. 2 to Jan. 3.

According to Queerty, it all started with a now-deleted tweet he posted about George Michael’s boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz. After Fawaz said that tweets from his account claiming that Michael had committed suicide were a result of a hack, Boy George reportedly tweeted, “‘My computer got hacked’ is like ‘I’m bisexual’ or ‘I’m sniffing because I have allergies.’”

People on social media took offense to George’s tweet, but the “Karma Chameleon” singer’s responses didn’t necessarily put out the fire.

George responded, “My tweet was not directed at you? How big is your ego right now? Lots of people use ‘bisexual’ when they really mean ‘gay.’”

Here are other tweets about George’s statement, with some people defending the former pop star.

Boy George was in the news recently, when Sarah Michelle Gellar made an unfortunate yet epic social media boo-boo when she told her half-million Twitter followers that ’80s pop star had died.

Of course, she meant to pay tribute to George Michael, who passed away suddenly Christmas Day of heart failure.

The singer’s representatives have not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
