Brad Schwartz Tapped as President of TVGN

Former Fuse programming executive Brad Schwartz will oversee programming, scheduling, marketing and creative operations for CBS/Lionsgate venture

Former Fuse programming executive Brad Schwartz has been named president of entertainment and media for TVGN, becoming the first executive appointed to the entertainment network since CBS Corporation and Lionsgate took a 50/50 stake in it.

“This partnership is all about improving a property that has tremendous potential it has yet to realize. The key to that improvement will be growing the quality of the programming offered to the more than 80 million viewers who have access to TVGN," CBS president and CEO Les Moonves said of the appointment. "I can think of no better person to manage that process than Brad. He’s a terrific addition to the team.  All his experience has prepared him for this role, and I look forward to the contribution he will make as he leads this exciting new effort.”

Schwartz will will oversee programming, scheduling, marketing and creative operations for the channel, reporting to TVGN’s Board of Directors.

With Schwartz's appointment as president, TVGN's former interim president Dennis Miller has been moved to president of operations.

“I’m thrilled to join TVGN," Schwartz said. "This is an incredible opportunity to build an emerging brand on the cable television landscape.”

CBS forged its new partnership with Lionsgate in March, when it purchased half of TVGN and TVGuide.com for a reported $100 million to $120 million. The companies hope to exploit CBS's programming, production and marketing assets, along with Lionsgate's resources in movies, television and digitally developed content.
