Bravo has just given a green light to new “Top Chef” spinoff under the working title, “Top Chef Extreme.” The series is set to premiere this summer.

On each episode, the new series will bring back past “Top Chef” contestants for one-on-one culinary duels. The competitors will go head-to-head in three rounds of challenges in order to move on in the competition.

Then, all the episodes’ winners will go against each other on the season’s finale with one chef standing at the end. The winning chef will claim the yet to be announced grand prize and, of course more importantly for these folks, bragging rights.

Bravo is giving fans a chance to nominate the chefs they’d like to compete on “Top Chef Extreme.” The network asks that viewers share their dream battle pairings on “Top Chef’s” Facebook page at or on Twitter by tweeting @BravoTopChef and using the hashtag #TopChefExtreme.

This is the newest series stemming from the Magical Elves production. Previously, Bravo’s “Top Chef” spinoffs included “Top Chef Masters,” “Top Chef: Just Desserts” and docu-series “Life After Top Chef.” It has also spawned web series “Top Chef: Healthy Showdown” and “Last Chance Kitchen,” which pits eliminated chefs against each other for a chance to return to the “Top Chef” finale.

Currently, “Top Chef All-Stars” airs Wednesdays at 10/9c with new episodes of “Last Chance Kitchen” posted afterward at BravoTV.com.
