Bravo’s Eli Lehrer to Head Lifetime Unscripted Development

He will assume the new position of senior vice president and head of nonfiction development starting July 8

Bravo development vice president Eli Lehrer has just been tapped to head Lifetime's non-fiction development, 

Lehrer will assume Lifetime's newly created position of senior vice president and head of non-scripted development on July 8 based out of Los Angeles.

He will report to Lifetime’s executive vice president of programming, Rob Sharenow.

“Eli has an impeccable reputation as one of the very best development executives in the business,” said Sharenow in a statement.

“He’s got a tremendous sense of character, story and brand that will be a huge asset to Lifetime and build on our rapidly expanding non-fiction lineup that includes the hit franchises, 'Dance Moms' and 'Project Runway.'”

He originally joined Bravo Media in 2008 as its East Coast development and production vice president. He was upped to development VP in 2010, putting him in charge of developing talent and identifying new series concepts on both coasts.

He's responsible for developing Bravo series "Flipping Out," "The Real Housewives of New York City," "The Rachel Zoe Project," and “The Real Housewives of D.C.” and he executive produced “Watch What Happens: Live,” “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” and “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover.”

Prior to joining Bravo, Lehrer managed East Coast development for VH1, served as the executive assistant to Michael Ovitz at Artists Management Group, and as the executive assistant to George Stephanopoulos at ABC News.

In 2008, Lehrer was named as one of Multichannel News’ top executives in their 40 Under 40 issue.

He has a B.A. in American History from Columbia University.
