Bristol Palin Makes a Date With ABC Family

America’s favorite baby mama will play herself on an episode of the network’s “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”

Is Bristol Palin playing herself on an episode of ABC Family’s "The Secret Life of the American Teenager"?

You betcha.

In one of the best examples of stunt casting in quite some time, the hit ABC Family series has convinced Palin to appear as herself in an episode set to air this summer, when the show returns for its third season. TV Bristol will be seen attending a music program for teen moms with Amy (Shailene Woodley).

"Secret Life" executive producer Brenda Hampton, who also created the religious-themed "7th Heaven" for the WB, called Palin "the most famous teenage mother in America" (breaking the heart of Jamie Lynn Spears, not to mention all the kids on MTV’s runaway hit "16 and Pregnant").

"I think she will bring additional attention to the issues facing teen parents that we’ve been exploring for a couple of seasons now," Hampton added.

Not to mention tons of media attention and regular shout-outs to "Secret Life" on mom Sarah Palin’s Facebook page.

Baby mama Palin’s decision to make her acting debut comes just days after she joined Sarah Palin in launching a calculated attack against Fox Hollywood (as they called it) for airing an episode of "Family Guy" that contained a subtle reference to the fact that one of the Palin kids has Down syndrome.
