Britney Spears is thanking her fans after a Los Angeles judge ruled to end the conservatorship the singer has been under for the past 13 years.

Moments after the ruling came down, Spears took to social media to react. “Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy,” she said. “I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!! Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen?”

Fans of the singer have been behind the #FreeBritney movement that spurred public interest in the conservatorship. Spears’ father Jamie Spears announced that he’d be stepping down from the conservatorship in August, and earlier this month he filed documents requesting that Spears’ conservatorship be terminated immediately.

The documentary “Framing Britney Spears,” which debuted on Hulu in February, shined a light not only on the conservatorship, but the fan movement calling for it to end.

Speaking outside the courthouse on Friday, Spears’ attorney Matthew Rosengart also praised her fans. “I want to thank all of you,” Rosengart told the crowd. “I’ve been asked so many times about Britney’s fans and you guys are absolutely the best, are essential. Britney loves you.”
