‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine': Relive Jake and Amy’s Love Story in 99 Seconds (Video)

Final Fox episode features NBC’s newest couple’s toit nups

“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” will finally make an honest couple out of Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy (Melissa Fumero) in the season 5 finale, which will see the couple tie the knot in the toitest of nups.

But before the police badge-wearing lovebirds say “I do” on Sunday’s episode, the (for now) Fox comedy thought you should relive Jake and Amy’s entire story “romantic style.” And in 99 seconds, of course.

In the clip above, you’ll see the two go from being co-workers forced into a date because of a bet, to flirting on a rooftop, to their first kiss, to deciding not to have sex right away (“cool, cool, cool, cool, cool”), to totally breaking that rule, to, well, you’ll see.

Here’s the official description for the fifth season (not series — thank you, NBC) finale: Jake and Amy’s wedding day is majorly threatened, and Charles and the whole squad rush to help save it. Amidst the chaos, Holt hesitates to open the email that will indicate if he has won his campaign for Commissioner, despite Gina’s encouragement. Meanwhile, Terry gently pushes Rosa towards a potential love interest.

Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin”) will guest star, with Kyle Bornheimer reprising his role as Teddy, Amy’s ex-boyfriend.

Oh, for those who’ve been living under a rock, the Fox comedy was canceled last week and then revived by NBC 24 hours later. So it will be returning next year — though not till midseason.

The Season 5 finale of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” will air Sunday at 8:30/7:30 c on Fox.
