After a whirlwind year in which she came out, debuted her own reality show on E! and won an Arthur Ashe Courage Award, Caitlyn Jenner is writing a memoir about her journey from Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner to becoming the most famous transgender woman in the world.
She will work with the help of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and “Friday Night Lights” author Buzz Bissinger, who also wrote the July Vanity Fair article which first introduced the world to Caitlyn.
Grand Central Publishing is hoping to release the book in the spring of 2017.
There has been much speculation about a book deal since last April, when she announced that she was transitioning in an interview with Diane Sawyer. Bissinger, a self described cross-dresser, has said that his own experience with “gender fluidity” have helped him better relate to Jenner’s story.
The book will also cover Jenner’s childhood, her incredible rise to fame as an Olympic decathlete champion, her troubled relationship with her children, and her marriage to Kris Kardashian.
