Rapper Cardi B has addressed a 2016 Instagram Live video in which she said she “drugged” and “robbed” men.

“I talked about things I had to do in my past right or wrong that I felt I needed to do to make a living,” she wrote Tuesday on Instagram, referring to the actions she described in the old video. “I never even put those things in my music because I’m not proud of it and feel a responsibility not to glorify it.”

In the three-year-old video, which recently resurfaced on social media, Cardi said that during her time as a stripper, she lured men to hotel rooms for sex — however, she would drug and rob them instead.

“I had to go strip, I had to go, ‘Oh yeah, you want to f—- me? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let’s go back to this hotel,’ and I drugged n—-s up, and I robbed them. That’s what I used to do,” she said. “So for a bitch to say that I don’t motherf—in’ deserve it, that I don’t put in no f—ing work, that’s when I feel like n—s is buggin’,” Cardi said at the time.

“The men I spoke about in my [Instagram] live were men that I dated that I was involve [sic] with, men that were conscious willing and aware,” she said in her response. “I made the choices I did at the time because I had very limited options. I was blessed to have been able to rise from that but so many women have not. Whether or not they were poor choices at the time I did what I had to do to survive.”

The post’s caption, after the note, read: “All I can do now is be a better me for myself my family and my future.”

Cardi B has a feature role in upcoming Jennifer Lopez-Constance Wu movie “Hustlers,” which follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients. They get their revenge on wealthy, drunk and abusive clients by maxing out their credit cards after they’ve passed out. “Hustlers” also stars Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer and Julia Stiles.
