‘Carnival Row’ Trailer Is Filled With Fairy Sex and Human-on-Creature Violence (Video)

Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne-led fantasy series launches Aug. 30 on Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer for “Carnival Row,” and it is packed with fairy sex and some human-on-creature violence.

In the trailer above, human detective Rycroft Philostrate (Orlando Bloom) and refugee faerie Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevingne) resume a love affair in a society that is growing increasingly intolerant about intermingling between humans and mythical creatures — to the point where the former is committing acts of violence against the latter.

Here’s the official description for the fantasy series, which has already been renewed for Season 2 by Amazon:

Orlando Bloom (“Pirates of the Caribbean”) and Cara Delevingne (“Suicide Squad)” star in Carnival Row, a series set in a Victorian fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose exotic homelands were invaded by the empires of man. This growing population struggles to coexist with humans — forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom. But even in darkness, hope lives, as a human detective, Rycroft Philostrate (Bloom), and a refugee faerie named Vignette Stonemoss (Delevingne) rekindle a dangerous affair despite an increasingly intolerant society. Vignette harbors a secret that endangers Philo’s world during his most important case yet: a string of gruesome murders threatening the uneasy peace of the Row.

“Carnival Row” premieres August 30 on Amazon Prime Video.
