‘Catfish’ Gets a Third Season From MTV

Season 2 wrapped up in mid-October

“Catfish: The TV Show” has hooked itself a third season.

The docudrama series, which delves into the misrepresentations of online dating, has been renewed by MTV, the series’ stars, Nev Schulman and Max Joseph, announced with a Facebook video on Friday.

“Drumroll…. ‘Catfish’ Season 3. Yay!” Joseph said in the video. “New season of ‘Catfish,’ all new episodes coming your way.”

The series’ Season 2 finale aired on Oct. 15.

The Season 2 premiere in June drew 2.5 million total viewers, with a 2.2 rating in the 12-34 demo that MTV targets.
