Catherine Dunleavy Tapped to Be NBCU Cable Studios CFO

Cheryl Rosenbloom has also been named SVP of Human Resources for NBCU Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios

NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios has named Catherine Dunleavy to be Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the company announced on Wednesday. 

In addition, the company announced that Cheryl Rosenbloom will become Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for NBCU Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios.

Both women rose up the ranks of NBCU. They will report to Chairman Bonnie Hammer. 

In her new position, Dunleavy will oversee the division's financial strategy, planning and operations. She was formerly EVP and CFO for NBCU Cable and Distribution.

Rosenbloom was formerly Senior Vice President of Human Resources for NBCU Cable and Distribution. In her new position, Rosenbloom will create and oversee the division's Human Resources agenda, which includes integration processes as well as attracting, developing and retaining a strong employee base.

As part of her most recent CFO role, Dunleavy oversaw the successful acquisition and integration of Oxygen and the Weather Channel. In her prior roles at NBCU, Dunleavy was SVP and CFO for USA and Syfy, and VP of Financial Planning and Analysis for NBCU. Before joining NBCU, Dunleavy worked for GE’s corporate audit staff, where she was Executive Audit Manager.

Before joining the cable group, Rosenbloom was VP of Human Resources for NBCU’s Finance, Legal, Business Development, Digital and Corporate Communications organizations. Prior to that, she was the Director of Human Resources for WNBC Newschannel 4, NBC’s flagship owned and operated station in New York City.
