CBS has added another drama pilot to its 2016-17 slate.

“Sensory” is a two-hander centered around a veteran neurologist and her protégé who has mirror-touch synesthesia, a neurological trait that causes him to experience other people’s sensations. Inspired by the true story of neurologist Joel Salinas.

The pilot will be written and executive produced by David Zabel, with Ridley Scott, Scott Free’s David Zucker and Foundry Media’s Roger Freet will also serve as EPs.

Among the network’s other drama pilots are “Bull,” about a young Dr. Phil; “Doubt,” also from Timberman/Beverly; “Bunker Hill” from Jason Katims; and adaptations of “MacGyver,” “Training Day” and the “Nancy Drew” series of novels.
