Channel 4 Buys UK TV Rights to ‘Camelot’

The British broadcast network made the deal with Graham King’s GKtv, ‘Camelot’ will appear on Starz in the U.S.

GK-tv, the television production arm of Graham King's GK Films, sold the UK TV rights to its Knights of the Round Table drama "Camelot" to Channel 4.

"Camelot" will premiere on Channel 4 in 2011.

Here in the States, "Camelot" debuts on Starz starting in the first half of 2011. The cast includes Joseph Fiennes as Merlin and Bond girl Eva Green as Morgan. Jamie Campbell Bower stars as Arthur.

"Camelot" is a co-production between the Irish company Octagon and Canada's Take 5 Productions. It is executive produced by King, Douglas Rae of Ecosse Films, Tim Headington and Craig Cegielski,

Channel 4's deal for "Camelot" was brokered by the network's acting head of acquisitions, Penny Harris. Broadcast rights for the series have sold in several other territories including France, Germany, Spain, Russia, Pan Latin America and Pan Middle East.
