It’s a match made only on British television. Cheryl Cole is returning to UK’s “The X Factor” for the eleventh season, which means she’ll reunite with former boss Simon Cowell.

The pop star posted an image of herself choking Cowell on her Facebook page on Monday.

“GUESS WHAT!!.. I’m baaaacccckkkkk!!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck #XFactor2014 #leggooo,” she wrote.

Cole had served as a judge on the British talent show from 2008-2010. American viewers may remember Cole as one of the first judges signed to Fox’s American “X Factor” in 2011.

She didn’t even last beyond the audition episodes, about three weeks. Producers reportedly became fearful Americans wouldn’t understand what she was saying through her accent. She would later sue “X Factor” U.S. producers for the balance of her contracted two seasons, receiving $1.8 million for the first season and undisclosed settlement for the second.

At the time of her firing from the Fox show, Cowell said he offered her a job on the British talent show. Cole later revealed that she turned down the offer.

Their reunion was made possible by Cowell’s decision to abandon the low-rated Fox show and return to the U.K. show he created and served as a judge on from 2004-2010. The move effectively gave Fox a clean way to cancel the show.
