Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” was released at midnight — the witching hour, if you’re into that sort of thing — which means that fans have finally been exposed to the adorable relationship between Kiernan Shipka’s teen witch and her high school sweetheart, Harvey Kinkle (played by Ross Lynch.)
Of course you are about to fall madly in love with their young romance. And you’re in good company, as Shipka and Lynch say they are gaga for Harvey and Sabrina as well.
“Their relationship is one of my favorite aspects of the show, because it’s so sweet, so beautiful and so pure,” Shipka told Us Weekly in an interview published Thursday. “Their love for each other is really honest. It’s innocent, and it’s just quite beautiful. They really, really adore each other.”
Aww, stop!
“They’re so in love, it’s electric,” Lynch said, noting that Harvey and Sabrina’s teen status makes the “innocence” of their first love “very apparent.” “I really like how it comes across onscreen. Filming those scenes are so fun.”
But hold on to your broomsticks, Sabrina-Harvey shippers, because it’s rough skies ahead for your new favorite couple.
“The one thing that kind of kills Sabrina is that she is hiding part of herself from Harvey,” Shipka said. “It comes from a place of good, always trying to protect him and trying to protect herself. But at the same time, she feels that she is hiding a big part of herself from him so we see that unravel throughout the season.”
