‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’: Ross Lynch Is Just as Into Harvey-Nick Bromance As You Are (Video)

“Just today I just texted Gavin, who plays Nick, and was like, ‘Dude, they’re shipping us already,'” Netflix star tells TheWrap

Pop culture fanatics can add one more pairing to the list of greatest TV couples of all time, thanks to “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” And, no, we’re not talking about Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) and Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch).

Yeah, those two are cute and all, but if you’ve watched through the Season 1 finale, then you know the real dynamic duo is Harvey and Nicholas Scratch (Gavin Leatherwood) — the male witch vying for our heroine’s affections.

And Lynch told TheWrap he and Leatherwood were actually waiting for the moment when you’d all realize just how adorable they are together.

“You know what’s so funny? Just today I just texted Gavin, who plays Nick, and was like, ‘Dude they’re shipping us already,’” Lynch says in the interview above.

Lynch and Leatherwood didn’t get a ton of time together on screen during the first 10 episodes of the Netflix series, but the finale saw the witch boy and the mortal teen have to work together to stay safe, while Miss Spellman was signing the Dark Lord’s book and embracing her wicked side. And those handful of scenes were some of Lynch’s favorites to shoot.

“One, I wanna say that I love Gavin Leatherwood as a human being. We just got on so great, the whole cast,” Lynch says. “But I feel like we have a really good relationship, and that was one of the most fun days I’ve had on set. ‘Cause we shot all those scenes in one day. So basically just me and Gavin hanging out all day.”

The close of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”s first season finds Sabrina single, after telling Harvey she thinks its for his own good if he stays away from her magic world. And the last shot we see is of the witch strolling up to Nick in the Academy of Unseen Arts, with Prudence and the other Weird Sisters. So what does that mean for Harvey and Sabrina in Season 2?

Lynch says you’ll “see a lot more of the academy” — but TBD on his relationship status.
