Working on the set of a Nicholas Sparks movie is a dream, at least according to “The Choice” star Maggie Grace.
“It was so much fun to make. It was like, ‘We get paid to do this?'” Grace told TheWrap’s Stuart Brazell in the latest episode of “Drinking With the Stars.”
“Everybody was really close and silly,” she said of the cast, which also included Benjamin Walker, Teresa Palmer and Alexandra Daddario. “We’d spend the day on a boat, and Walker would moon us every chance he got… I mean, it got old.”
Grace also discussed some of the common themes in Nicholas Sparks movies, including rain, Americana and “the almost kiss,” that awkward, anxious moment before a first kiss.
“They always use the first take, because they never quite recapture that awkwardness again,” Grace explained.
Though she may not have had any kissing to do herself, Grace did get an “awesome” fake pregnancy belly to work with in the movie.
“My sister was nine months pregnant at the time. I actually raced from set to make it to the birth of my niece,” she said, addng that her sister was coaching her on how to realistically portray pregnancy on screen. “She was like, ‘You better do the waddle.'”
