Chuck Todd graded Hillary Clinton’s presidential announcement rollout Monday, giving the candidate an A.
“I think it went correctly,” the “Meet the Press” host said about Clinton’s campaign.
He credited the memo that was sent out by Clinton’s campaign, the video that showed every “part of the Democratic coalition represented,” and the upcoming road trip Clinton will take to Iowa.
Todd says the road trip gives the launch “humanity”: “You throw that in there, you take a B+ launch and make it an A.
Clinton’s presidential launch took over the media Sunday as networks waited with bated breath for the former Secretary of State to announce. She released her first campaign video Sunday afternoon featuring a variety of Americans pursuing their dreams professionally and personally.
“Everyday Americans need a champion. I want to be that champion,” Clinton said at the tail end of her announcement video.
She is scheduled to hit the road this week to visit Iowa and other important campaign states. As TheWrap reported, many experts without an Obama-like challenger this time around, Clinton’s biggest challenger could be the media.
