Cinedigm, Film Arcade Acquire Stripper Comedy, ‘Afternoon Delight’

Sundance hit stars Juno Temple and Jane Lynch

Sundance Film Festival award winner "Afternoon Delight" has sold to The Film Arcade and Cinedigm, the companies said Tuesday.

The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jill Soloway ("Six Feet Under") and boasts a cast that includes indie darling Juno Temple, Josh Radnor ("How I Met Your Mother"), Jane Lynch ("Glee") and Kathryn Hahn ("Crossing Jordan").  It won the Directing Award in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at Sundance this year.

The Film Arcade will release the film theatrically in the United States with Cinedigm handling all ancillary domestic distribution.

"Afternoon Delight" follows a thirty-something woman (Hahn) who tries to spice up her marriage by taking her husband (Radnor) to a strip club. There she meet a stripper (Temple) who she tries to rescue by making her a live-in nanny.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
