Cinema Audio Society Announces Technical Achievement Nominations

Dolby, Lectrosonics and PureBlend Software are among the companies honored

The Cinema Audio Society announced the nominees for the 9th Annual CAS Technical Achievement Awards for Production and Post-Production, on Friday.

In the production category, the non-profit organization that honor's the art of sound mixing in film and television named Lectrosonics' WM Watertight Transmitter, PureBlend Software's Movieslate® 3.8, Quantum5X's TapShoeMic, Sound Devices' 664 Field Production Mixer with Recorder and Zaxcom's ERX2TCD IFB Receiver as nominees.

In post-production AMS Neve's DFC Gemini with Superstem™Mixing, Barco's Auro 11.1, Dolby's Atmos, iZotope's Insight, and Waves' WLM-Waves Loudness Meter were nominated.

Winners will be announced at the 49th Annual CAS Awards dinner on Feb. 16 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, where production sound mixer Chris Newman and director Jonathan Demme will be presented with CAS career achievement awards.
