The CMT reality series “Party Down South” will end after its upcoming fifth season, the network announced Thursday.

Season f5 ensures no shortage of drama as Lyle and fiancé, Santana, near their breaking point when rumors of her infidelity are sparked by his roommates. Tears are shed and punches are thrown as everyone tries to get to the bottom of the situation. Meanwhile, Mattie may have finally found a guy who can keep up with her, and Daddy is determined to leave this vacation on a high note with as many marlins in pretzels as possible.

To kick off the final season, CMT will marathon Season 4 in its entirety beginning Jan. 23 at 1 p.m./12c. The 10-episode marathon follows the cast’s most recent vacation in St. Petersburg, which included fights, a proposal and all the adventures of Murray and Walt as they mingled with the local residents. Exclusive sneak peeks of Season 5 will also be featured throughout the marathon.

Over four seasons viewers have come to love Daddy, Lyle, Murray, Walt, Hannah, Lauren, Mattie and Tiffany for their antics, authenticity and one-liners. That is why “Party Down South” remains CMT’s highest-rated original series and is the most watched franchise on CMT.com.

“Party Down South” is produced by 495 Productions, with SallyAnn Salsano, Joel Zimmer and Paul Storck serving as executive producers. Jayson Dinsmore and Morgan Selzer executive produce for CMT.

“Party Down South’s” fifth and final season premieres Jan. 28 at 9 p.m./8c.
