CNN Analyst Blasts ‘Disgusting’ Rupert Murdoch ‘Real Black President’ Tweet, Calls Fox News ‘Enemy’ of Black Struggle (Video)

Van Jones says if media mogul cares about black people he “should tell the people at Fox News he does so, because you can’t tell by watching”

The firestorm response to Rupert Murdoch’s tweet that hailed Dr. Ben Carson as a “real black president” included strong response from one CNN contributor on Wednesday.

Van Jones, a black political analyst and former environmental adviser to President Obama, ripped Murdoch’s comments as “juvenile” and “disgusting,” suggesting they put both the media mogul’s and Fox News’ values on full display.

If Murdoch cares about black people, he “should tell the people at Fox News he does so, because you can’t tell by watching,” Jones told Don Lemon.

“How can you have someone like Rupert Murdoch, with all his wealth and power, stoop so low to challenge somebody’s ethnicity?” he asked.

Jones, who was a frequent guest on CNN during racially sensitive stories in Ferguson and Baltimore, claimed Fox News has done everything in its power to undermine America’s first real black president, President Obama.

He concluded that Fox News has been “an enemy of African-American struggles since it started.”
