CNN continues to double down on digital, snagging Politico deputy managing editor Dianna Heitz to join its growing CNN Politics digital team.

Heitz’s hiring is one of six Politico journalists snagged away by CNN.com in the last six months: former Politico managing editor Rachel Smolkin joined CNN as its Politics executive editor over the summer.

Other Politico journalists to CNN include Steven Sloan, Eric Bradner, MJ Lee and Jedd Rosche.

And CNN hasn’t stopped at Politico. In recent months, the network has amped up its digital ranks with the following hires: Chris Moody from Yahoo, Jeff Simon from Washington Post, Ashley Codianni from Mashable, Maeve Reston from LA Times, Rebekah Metzler from US News and Stephen Collinson from AFP.
