Coen Brothers Working on ‘Fargo’ Adaptation for FX

"My Generation" writer will pen adaptation of 1996 crime drama "Fargo"

FX is developing a television adaptation of the 1996 crime drama, with the film's writers/directors Joel and Ethan Coen on board to executive-produce.

Noah Hawley, writer and producer for "Bones," "The Unusuals" and "My Generation," will write the project and also executive-produce. Former NBC Entertainment executive Warren Littlefield, an executive producer on "My Generation," is on board to produce.

The Coen brothers' upcoming projects include the drama "Inside Llewyn Davis" and the detective comedy "Harve Karbo," which has been purchased by Fox.

Deadline first reported the news of FX's "Fargo" adaptation.
