Stephen Colbert returned from vacation on Monday night, and on his first “The Late Show” in just over a week, he got caught up on the latest doings of Donald Trump.

First up, Colbert talked about a cabinet meeting Trump held that lasted 71 minutes and devolved into nothing but Trump griping about things that annoys him. “Seventy-one minutes isn’t a press conference, that’s a one-man show,” Colbert joked. “If you liked ‘Fleabag,’ you’ll love Donald Trump in ‘Douchebag.’”

Colbert then touched on Trump awarding the job of hosting next year’s G7 summit to a hotel he owns, a possible violation of the Constitution’s emoluments clause. After a wave of criticism even from a small number of Republicans, Trump rescinded the contract, but in doing so praised the location. Some critics thought it sounded like an advertisement.

“Wow. Even Trump’s announcement about not using his resort is a commercial for his resort,” Colbert joked. Switching to his Trump impression, Colbert continued: “Clearly, clearly, I would never use the office of president to promote one of my own properties, even the one-of-a-kind, world-famous Trump Doral.”

“You know our motto,” Colbert concluded. “It’s not just unbelievable. It’s unconstitutional.”
