Colbert Dubs ‘Fox & Friends’ Trump’s ‘Roadside Petting Zoo’ Over Lack of Manafort Coverage (Video)

To be fair, these cheeseburger-emoji stories don’t just report themselves

Stephen Colbert probably won’t be trick-or-treating at Steve Doocy’s house tonight.

The “Late Show” host killed the cable news host’s “Fox & Friends” on Monday over being noticeably slow to cover the news of former Donald Trump advisor Paul Manafort’s federal indictment, which stemmed from an investigation into the administration’s ties to Russia.

“This is huge news. And all the networks scrambled to cover the latest from the Mueller investigation,” Colbert said in his monologue. “Except of course for the President’s roadside petting zoo over at “Fox & Friends.”

Instead, the Fox News Channel morning show teased a Dean Cain segment on millennials ruining Halloween, as well as a “cheeseburger emoji causing a frenzy online,” per Ainsley Earhardt. There was also hot talk about Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

The show’s rundown was eerily similar to Colbert’s “Real News Tonight” telecast, which the CBS host then cued up.
