Stephen Colbert will never need to do his own interview with Donald Trump — so long as Fox News and Fox Business Network keep sitting down with the President.
The “Late Show” again started with a cold open of Colbert jumping in on someone else’s very real conversation with the POTUS — this time, Lou Dobbs asked the actual questions to the commander-in-chief. Colbert just had fun with his answers.
All the CBS late-night staff needed was a green screen, some phony questions and rudimentary editing software to pull off another hilarious re-cut. They put all of those to good use once more on Thursday.
Last night, Colbert got Trump to admit that he looks “absolutely ridiculous” and is “one of the great disasters of all time, a disgrace, dishonest.”
How can Trump possibly fix his fractured relationship with congress? “I can put out,” the leader of the free world “replied” to the “Colbert Report’ graduate’s query.
