‘SNL’ Stars Colin Jost, Michael Che to Compete in WrestleMania 35 Battle Royal (Video)

Good luck against Braun Strowman, boys

“SNL: Weekend Update” anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che probably wish they never got involved with this whole WWE thing. The WrestleMania 35 special correspondents will now be wrestlers against Braun Strowman and the rest of the field in the Sunday, April 7 event’s Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

Jost and Che weren’t really given much of a choice in the matter: “The Monster Among Men” Strowman told the comics on Monday’s “Raw” that they could either take their chances in the battle royal or for sure “Get These Hands” backstage.

Alexa Bliss, the WrestleMania 35 host who apparently has unlimited powers over the pay-per-view for some reason, made their inclusion official.

The three-hour “Monday Night Raw” airs live on Mondays beginning at 8/7c on USA Network. Sister series “SmackDown Live” is two hours-long, starting at 8/7c each Tuesday on USA. “SmackDown” will be moving to Fox broadcast network for Fridays this fall.

WrestleMania 35 kicks off at 7/6c on Sunday, April 7. The so-called Super Bowl of professional wrestling will take place in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, where the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets play. The event will stream live on WWE Network.

“Saturday Night Live” will be hosted by “Killing Eve” star Sandra Oh this weekend, and by “Game of Thrones” actor Kit Harington the following weekend. Jost and Che better be quick healers, because the Saturday after ‘Mania “SNL” is again original, with Emma Stone as host.
