Comedy Central has promoted David Bernath to executive VP of program strategy and multiplatform programming.

The New York-based Bernath, who formerly operated with a senior VP-level title, will continue to oversee the MTV Networks channel’s scheduling and acquisitions group, as well as manage its content across digital platforms.

“Dave has been a key architect in the success of Comedy Central over the last five yeasrs,” said Bernath’s boss, network president Michele Ganeless. “His passion for comedy, innovative approach to deal making and keen strategic sense will help the network continue to thrive.”
