Comic-Con 2015: The Film and TV Schedule (Updating)

TheWrap’s guide to all of the TV offerings at this year’s annual fan event in San Diego from July 8 to July 12

It’s not summer without Comic-Con, and this year there’s a ton of chances for fans to indulge in their favorite films, TV shows and comic books — among other pop culture phenomenon — at the San Diego Convention Center.

This year’s festivities kick off with Preview Night on July 8. Here’s a breakdown of the TV panels and events fans can look forward to in the networks’ own words (which will update as new information becomes available).

Wednesday, July 8 (Preview Night)
6:00-10:00 p.m. — WBTV Preview Screenings
The first time is always the best time. Comic-Con and Warner Bros. Television proudly continue our annual Preview Night tradition, with exclusive world premiere screenings of the pilot episodes of four of the most highly anticipated series of the 2015-16 television season — “Supergirl,” “Blindspot,” “Containment” and “Lucifer” — as well as a brand-new episode of “Teen Titans Go!”

Thursday, July 9

Film:

12-1:15p.m. — “Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2” and “The Last Witch Hunter” (Lionsgate)
Conan O’Brien will moderate these panels featuring the final chapter of the megahit “Hunger Games” franchise. The cast and filmmakers will be on hand discussing details of the film. Then Vin Diesel will walk fans through the upcoming fantasy adventure in which he plays the last of an ancient order of warriors. Hall H

“Extant” (CBS)
Exclusive Sneak Peek & Panel – Academy Award winner Halle Berry (“X-Men”) returns to Comic-Con with her new co-star, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“Watchmen”), for a panel discussion and an exclusive tease of the mystery summer thriller series, back for its second season with higher stakes and new faces. When Molly Woods discovers she has unwittingly put the human race on a path to destruction, she and a mysterious stranger may be the only hope for survival. A glimpse at what’s to come in Season 2, followed by a panel discussion with cast members, executive producer Craig Shapiro and executive producer/creator Mickey Fisher. The panel discussion will be moderated by Chris Hardwick, comedian and host of @midnight. Ballroom 20

“Under the Dome” (CBS)
Exclusive Sneak Peek & Panel – It has been weeks since the dome descended upon Chester’s Mill with Barbie and the residents of Chester’s Mill being urged to follow Melanie “home.” Season 3 will pick up where Season 2 left off, and the community will rise to new heights of ingenuity, courage and often darkness in their quest for freedom. There will be new faces, new alliances and betrayal of trust as residents learn what you “see” may not always be the truth, and that the real enemy is within. “Zoo” (CBS)
Exclusive Sneak Peek & Panel – The wild shall inherit the Earth in ZOO, CBS’s newest summer event series, based on the #1 bestselling novel by James Patterson. ZOO is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans that are sweeping the planet. The series spans eight countries and features real lions, tigers, bears and more. Exclusive Premiere Screening & Panel – Picking up where the hit feature film left off, LIMITLESS follows Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) as he discovers the power of the brain-boosting drug NZT. From executive producer Bradley Cooper, the fast-paced drama will explore what happens when there are no limits to man’s potential, as Finch is coerced by the FBI to use his newfound extraordinary abilities for good. From Executive Producer Glen Mazzara (“The Walking Dead,” “The Shield”), “Damien” follows the adult life of Damien Thorn, the mysterious child from the 1976 motion picture “The Omen” who has grown up seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny — that he is the Antichrist. Starring Bradley James (“Merlin”), Barbara Hershey, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Omid Abtahi. Sexy, dark and irreverent, Lucifer makes its Comic-Con debut with a screening of the complete pilot episode followed by a Q&A with series stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Lesley-Ann Brandt and DB Woodside, and executive producers. Room 6BCF

With a knockout appearance last year, Iron Mike Tyson is taking on Comic-Con again and this rematch is sure to live up to the hype. After a hilarious season of solving mysteries, the Mike Tyson Mystery Team will be back in the ring with all-new episodes on Adult Swim this fall. Join voice cast Mike Tyson and Rachel Ramras (“MAD”), and producer Hugh Davidson (“The Looney Tunes Show”) for a first look at the upcoming season and a Q&A discussion.

Saturday, July 11

1:30 p.m. — “The Hateful Eight”
The presentation will include a discussion with Quentin Tarantino and the cast about the production, its upcoming roadshow release, the glorious 70mm format that it will be released in, and an exclusive premiere of footage from the film. 2:30 p.m. — Legendary Panel
Hosted by Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick, Legendary will present films from its upcoming slate including content from CRIMSON PEAK, KRAMPUS, and WARCRAFT with special appearances by talent and filmmakers. Hall H

TBD: — “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” / “Patient Zero”
Moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s Dalton Ross, the “Pride And Prejudice And Zombies” panel will feature talent from the film including Lily James, Sam Riley, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Jack Huston, and Matt Smith, along with director Burr Steers, and the book’s author Seth Grahame-Smith. 3:00-3:45 p.m. — “Grimm” (NBC)
NBC’s hit Friday night series “Grimm” returns to Comic-Con, featuring an exclusive sneak peek from the upcoming fifth season’s premiere episode. Nick Burkhardt has faced some insane obstacles from becoming a zombie to losing his abilities as a Grimm; however, all this pales in comparison to not only losing his mother but having the love of his life die in his arms. How will Nick cope? Will he find any solace with his new child with Adalind? It’s a witch war! Get ready to scream! It’s a Comic-Con horror fest when members of the all-star cast of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan’s Fox comedy “Scream Queens” (including Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Skyler Samuels, and Keke Palmer) come face to face with the stars of Murphy and Falchuk’s FX dramas “American Horror Story: Freak Show” and upcoming “American Horror Story: Hotel” (Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Matt Bomer). 1:45-2:45 p.m. — “Heroes: Reborn” (NBC)
From Tim Kring, who imagined NBC’s original critically-acclaimed “Heroes” series, comes “Heroes Reborn,” an epic 13-episode event series that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. Watch an exclusive extended trailer. FX’s new comedy series, “Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll,” centers on a legendary early-’90s band called The Heathens, who were on the brink of becoming famous until they broke up the same day the album dropped. Many years later, a talented young singer shows up with a desire to be famous, an appreciation for the band’s only album, and a stack of cash big enough to bring the whole band back into the studio.
