TheBlaze host and conservative commentator Tomi Lahren said she is pro-choice during her debut appearance on “The View” Friday morning.
Lahren, an outspoken Trump supporter and rising star among conservative media, explained why she goes against her party when it comes to women’s rights.
“I’m pro-choice and here is why,” Lahren said. “I am someone that loves the Constitution, I am someone that is for limited government, so I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies. Stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well.”
Asked to address her swift rise as a TV pundit, the 24-year-old Lahren said, “I think, in large part, I represent Middle America.”
“You’ve got the coasts and those individuals kind of just talk to each other — and then you’ve got all of Middle America right there that is dying to have a voice,” she added. “I do something different, there is not a lot of young, conservative women out there. I provide that.”
During her appearance, Lahren agreed with co-host Joy Behar that Saudi Arabia should be included in President Trump’s travel ban. Lahren, however, disagreed with Behar calling it a “Muslim ban.”
