Who says Donald Trump is a divisive figure?

Singer/former actor/overall curiosity Corey Feldman has proposed to his girlfriend Courtney Anne, and it’s all thanks to president-elect Trump, People reports.

Feldman told the outlet that he proposed last weekend in Palm Springs, because he feared that his Canadian-born beloved could be tossed out of the country if Trump changes the immigration laws when he enters office.

“[Anne] was very surprised, excited and started crying. She was surprised because we had both been so anti-marriage since we met. But seeing as she’s Canadian and with Trump coming in, we didn’t want to risk being separated by new immigration laws,” Feldman said.

Presumably, this would also mean that Feldman could emigrate to Canada, should he choose to get in on the latest Hollywood trend.

Feldman added that the pair will hold a small ceremony for family “very soon,” probably followed by a larger event for friends to attend.

In the meantime, Feldman announced via his Twitter account that the couple will hold a bachelor/bachelorette party on Saturday at Chateau in Las Vegas’ Paris.

“THANK U ALL 4 UR MESSAGES! @CourtneyAnne12 & I FEEL QUITE BLESSED 2 HAV ALL OF UR ❤️! NOW JOIN US! COME CELEBR8 N VEGAS!” Feldman wrote.

Congrats to the happy couple! But memo to Corey — you should probably hire a band for your wedding, instead of cutting corners by having your own group play.
