UPDATED, Monday 4:02 p.m.: The autopsy of "Glee" star Cory Monteith, who was found dead Saturday at age 31, was performed on Monday. However, a spokeswoman for the BC Coroners Service told TheWrap that an announcement on the findings of the autopsy won't be made until at least Tuesday.
The Coroners Service also took samples for a toxicology on Monday. Typically, toxicology reports take weeks to come back.

The BC Coroners Service has decided to go forward with an autopsy for "Glee" star Cory Monteith, who was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on Saturday.

The Coroners Service will also conduct toxicology testing on Monteith, who was 31 at the time of his death. Both the autopsy and sample-taking for the toxicology testing will take place Monday.
The Coroners Service had been waiting to determine whether an autopsy was warranted. Over the weekend, the service gathered information on "remote and recent history." Monteith, who had struggled with substance abuse, had entered rehab earlier this year.

No obvious cause of death was found at Monteith's hotel room, though foul play is not suspected.
Monteith, who was best known for his portrayal of Finn Hudson on the popular Fox series, was found dead in a room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in downtown Vancouver after he missed his check-out time.

Monteith had checked into the hotel on July 6 and was expected to check out on Saturday. According to the Vancouver police department, there were other people in the room with the actor on Friday night, but video and fob key entries indicate that the actor returned to his room early Saturday morning, and it is believed that Monteith was alone when he died.
