"Glee" star Cory Monteith has checked himself into a rehabilitation facility, as his series continues production on its fourth season.
However, according to an individual familiar with the situation, production on the series, which airs its series finale May 9, won't be affected by Monteith's treatment.
There are only two episodes left to film in the current season. It is not clear whether Monteith will appear in the remaining episodes.
Monteith's spokeswoman told TheWrap in a statement that the actor voluntarily entered the facility.

"Cory Monteith has voluntarily admitted himself into a treatment facility for substance addiction," the spokeswoman said in a statement. "He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery."
This isn't the first rehab stint for the 30-year-old Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson on the series. The actor told Parade magazine in 2011 that he entered rehab when he was 19, following an intervention staged by his mother and friends.
"I had a serious problem,” Monteith told Parade.
20th Century Fox Television, which produces the series, said that the production company fully supports Monteith's choice to seek treatment.
"Cory is a beloved member of the 'Glee' family and we fully support his decision to seek treatment," a spokesman for 20th Century Fox Television told TheWrap in a statement. "Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return."
