CBS is ready to engage in more "Criminal" behavior.
The network has given a ninth season to its drama "Criminal Minds," the network said Thursday.
The renewal of the police procedural series comes after the network renewed the bulk of its primetime series, with a few cancelations.
The most recent episode of the series, which aired Wednesday, posted a 2.5 rating/7 share in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic and drew 9.9 million total viewers.
The fates of CBS's freshman dramas "Golden Boy" and "Vegas," as well as long-running drama "CSI: NY" and the comedy "Rules of Engagement," are still pending.
