ABC’s “General Hospital” is tapping a few comedic voices for its Valentine’s Day episode on Friday, Feb. 13. The long-running soap opera has invited “Cristela” star Cristela Alonzo on for a special role in the episode, where she’ll be joining already-announced “Baby Daddy” stars Melissa Peterman and Derek Theler.

For her role in the special holiday episode, Alonzo won’t be straying too far from what she does on the sitcom she created and stars on for the network. While she’s an aspiring attorney on “Cristela,” Alonzo will portray Assistant District Attorey Natalia Rodriguez on “GH.”

Her character works for District Attorney Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and drops by the Port Charles Police Department on Valentine’s Day with some questions for Det. Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). Of course, the holiday gets them also talking about their loved ones.

Meanwhile, Peterman will play an old friend of Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) from Bensonhurst, while Theler portrays a colleague of Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson).

Created by Frank and Doris Hursley, “General Hospital” is the longest-running American soap opera currently in production, having celebrated its 51st anniversary on April 1, 2014. Frank Valentini is the current executive producer, with Ron Carlivati serving as head writer.

“General Hospital” airs weekdays on ABC. “Cristela” airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. “Baby Daddy” airs Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
