The CW unveiled season finale dates for seven fall dramas on Wednesday, including critically acclaimed telenovela adaptation “Jane the Virgin” and breakthrough superhero spinoff “The Flash.”
“The Originals” and “Jane the Virgin” conclude their seasons on Monday, May 11; “Arrow,” the network’s flagship superhero series, concludes Season 3 on Wednesday, May 13; “The Vampire Diaries” and “Reign” finales air on Thursday, May 14; “The Flash” and “Supernatural” conclude the following week on Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20, respectively.
As TheWrap reported from the January TCAs, the network renewed all eight of its fall dramas — including “The 100,” which aired its Season 2 finale on Wednesday — for additional seasons.
“Each of these series have helped define what The CW is today, a network that is home to smart, provocative, quality programming targeting a savvy adult audience,” The CW’s President Mark Pedowitz said in a statement. “By picking up these shows now, our executive producers can start planning next season’s story lines, and rolling these shows out throughout next season guarantees The CW will have more proven original series for our fall, midseason and summer 2016 line-ups.”
