On Tuesday night, “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah spent a portion of his opening segment going over former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg’s meltdown on over cable news on Monday. Noah was as baffled as everyone else was by the whole affair, especially with the manner Nunberg was slinging mud at pretty much everyone in the Trump Administration, including Trump himself.
“I know the stereotype is that women gossip, but every man who works for Trump keeps proving that stereotype wrong. Scaramucci, Bannon and now Nunberg, these guys are like human Wikileaks,” Noah joked. “The women, though, they keep their s— on lock. Like Kellyanne Conway never snitches. You actually leave interviews with her knowing less than when you started. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Fort Knox. Hope Hicks — she was communications director, and we never even heard her speak!”
“Now you understand there’s a reason Black Panther rolls like this,” Noah said as he pointed to a picture of Black Panther with Dora Milaje member Okoye (Danai Gurira) behind him. “Women don’t snitch! Two years later we’re still looking for Hillary’s emails. I see you, girl, I see you.”
After recapping nearly the entire five-hour saga, Noah finally got to the part where Nunberg told CNN’s Erin Burnett that he might try to save himself time having to produce all the emails Mueller had subpoenaed by just handing over his email password — which Noah noted may not even be necessary after Nunberg’s marathon TV meltdown.
“I’m sure that Mueller appreciates that Nunberg might finally be willing to cooperate, but I’m not sure it’s necessary anymore. Like Nunberg is gonna walk into Mueller’s office and be like ‘Okay, let’s do it, I’m ready to testify,’ and Mueller will be like ‘nah, don’t worry about it, I have it all on my DVR. You can go home, man.’”
