Sad news for the “Blood, Sweat & Heels” family.
Daisy Lewellyn, cast member of the Bravo series, died Friday following a battle with cancer. She was 36.
Lewellyn revealed her cancer diagnosis during the second season of the series, which aired last year.
“We are devastated to learn that Daisy Lewellyn from Bravo’s ‘Blood, Sweat & Heels’ has passed away this morning after a battle with a rare form of cancer,” a Bravo spokesperson told TheWrap on Friday.
“Daisy passed on in peace and filled with joy, surrounded by her family and friends,” the spokesperson added. “We are all saddened to lose this wonderful woman. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy is expressed.”
The series revolves around the personal, professional and social circle of seven New York City women.
Billed as the “Queen of Effortless Chic,” Lewellyn was a style expert and TV personality who authored the book “Never Pay Retail Again: Shop Smart, Spend Less & Look Your Best Ever.” She specialized in helping women dress glamorously while on a budget, appearing on “The Wendy Williams Show,” “Today” and “The Meredith Vieira Show.”
Leftfield Pictures, which produces “Blood, Sweat & Heels,” told TheWrap in a statement. “We are extremely saddened at the news of the passing of Daisy Lewellyn. We will miss her incredible spirit and heart, and extend our deepest sympathies to her family and friends.”
In an Instagram post on Friday, Lewellyn’s castmate Melyssa Ford noted, “I literally dreamed of her last nite… perhaps it was as she was saying goodbye to all of us. The shock is wearing off and full blown grief is setting in. I cannot believe Daisy is gone. My heart breaks for her family. Her light and spirit will be sorely missed.”
