‘Dallas’ Season 3 Finale Teaser Promises A Dead Ewing (Video)

The anticipated TNT finale airs Sept. 22

TNT promised the death of a main character in a new teaser for the Season 3 finale of “Dallas.”

“In five days, one Ewing will die,” an ominous narrator announces in the trailer, released Tuesday. He’s referring, of course, to a family member who serves as the focal point for most of the hit show’s drama.

Patrick Duffy’s character, Bobby Ewing, is held captive in the trailer, while a nefarious, antagonizing voice declares that “the time for negotiating has passed.” The teaser sets up Bobby to be the ill-fated Ewing, but it easily might be a misdirection.

Other possible candidates include J.R. Ewing (Josh Henderson), Ann Ewing (Brenda Strong) and Christopher Ewing (Jesse Metcalfe), but it’s doubtful TNT would be eager to rid itself of any of those stars.

Would Emma Ryland (Emma Bell), who is Bobby Ewing’s stepdaughter, count?

Perhaps the cast will cross paths with a distant cousin in the finale, and he’ll be the one who gets the axe? Who knows.

The two-hour Season 3 “Dallas” finale airs Sept. 22, at 10 p.m. ET on TNT.
