Ratings: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Finals With Rumer Willis’ Teary Performance Down From Last Year; ABC Still Tops Night

“The Bachelorette” premieres with two potential brides, up five percent in key demo

ABC finished first on Monday with Part 1 of the “Dancing With the Stars” finale, despite it being down from last year’s spring season ender.

NBC came in second with Part 1 of “The Voice” finale, which also fell versus the prior comparable season. CBS came in third place overall with a lineup of four finales.

ABC was first in ratings with a 2.2 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 9.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. “DWTS” at 8 p.m. received a 2.2/8 and night-high 14.1 million viewers. “The Bachelorette” at 9 premiered to a 2.1/7 and 7.2 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 2.1/7 and in viewers with 9.2 million. “The Voice” at 8 earned a primetime-best 2.6/8 and had 11.1 million viewers. “The Night Shift” finale at 10 got a 1.2/4 and 5.4 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.5/5 and in viewers with 7.9 million, airing all season finales. At 8, “2 Broke Girls” rose 25 percent from last week to a 2.0/7 and had 7.6 million viewers. “Mike & Molly” at 8:30 got a 1.8/6 and 7.8 million viewers. The canceled “Stalker” closed with a 1.2/4 and 6.8 million viewers at 9. At 10, “NCIS: Los Angeles” posted a 1.4/4 and 9.2 million viewers.

Univision was fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and fifth in viewers with 2.4 million.

Fox was fifth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and fourth in viewers with 3.1 million. A special “The Following” at 8 had a 1.0/3 and 3.1 million viewers. A second hour at 9 — the series finale, as this show was also canceled — got a 0.9/3 and 3.1 million viewers.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.5 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.1/0 and in viewers with 514,000, airing a movie.
