Actor Danny DeVito introduced Bernie Sanders to a cheering crowd, comparing the Vermont senator to “Star Wars” sage Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The “Taxi” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” star opened for the Democratic presidential candidate on Sunday at a rally in St. Louis, Mo.
“I’m here because you’re here,” DeVito told the cheering crowd. “Because, I feel the Bern.”
During his introduction, DeVito likened Sanders to Jedi master Kenobi.
“We need you Obi-Wan,” DeVito said.
This isn’t the first time DeVito has used a “Star Wars” line. In July, he tweeted his support for Sanders saying, “You’re our only hope Obi-Wan Kenobi.
