Comedian Dave Chappelle will host the Nov. 12 episode of “Saturday Night Live,” the show announced on Saturday, his first appearance on the NBC staple since 2020.

The rap duo Black Star will serve as musical guests for the episode.

This is Chappelle’s third time hosting the show — and also his third time hosting the first “SNL” episode immediately after a consequential election. He won an Emmy for his first hosting gig in 2016, the weekend after Donald Trump pulled off an upset election victory to win the White House. He returned four years later to host the post-election episode after Joe Biden’s presidential win.

Chappelle has historically scored big ratings for “SNL.” In 2020, he brought in the show’s highest-rated episode in nearly 4 years.
