David O. Russell's film about the Abscam scandal, which reunites him with "Silver Linings Playbook" stars Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, will be released wide by Sony on Christmas Day, following a Dec. 13 limited release.
Formerly titled "American Bullshit" but currently untitled, the film will chronicle the 1970s FBI Abscam sting operation, which ultimately led to the conviction of a U.S. Senator, five Congressmen, and other government figures.
Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale and Louis CK also star in the film.
Russell will also direct "Hunger Games" star Lawrence in the Weinstein Company film "The Ends of the Earth," about oil tycoon Ernest Marland and his downfall after he is caught in an affair.
