DDA Ups Dana Archer to VP

She also will join the international PR firm’s six-member executive board

Dana Archer has been promoted to senior vice president at DDA Public Relations, it was announced Monday by new owners Lawrence Atkinson, CEO, and John Stannard, chief operating officer.

In the new position, Archer will assume full managerial responsibility for DDA’s Los Angeles office. She also joins the six-person DDA executive board, reporting to Atkinson and Stannard.

Archer announced two promotions, upping Christelle Dupont to senior publicist and Clifford Ng to international publicist. She also created a new-business coordinator position, to be filled by Manuela Ruggeri.

Vice president Mariangela Hall and global operations manager Kimberlie Traceski continue in those roles.

Atkinson said in a statement: “We felt the time was right to appoint a new leader for our North American operation, and in the short time Dana has been with us she has demonstrated exactly the kind of dynamic management style that we recruited her for.”

Stannard said in a statement, “It’s great to have found someone as talented as Dana to complete our management board, which also consists of U.K.-based director Paul Saunter and vice president Bronwyn Pyke, alongside founder Dennis Davidson.”

Archer joined DDA PR in March 2009 as VP of corporate entertainment. She had been at Weber Shandwick.

Now in its fifth decade, DDA recently announced a management buyout. Atkinson and Stannard have increased their equity by acquiring a majority stake in the company from chairman-founder Davidson. The MBO will take a further six years to complete, during which time Davidson will run DDA Consulting, concentrating on a small roster of personal clients as a wholly owned unit of DDA Public Relations.

Davidson and Caroline Warburton continue to jointly own DDA Event Management.
